1. Who we are
These terms apply when you use bookingmate.co.uk or make a booking through it. The site is operated by Booking Central Ltd (trading as BookingMate), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15496869, registered office Building 1 Chalfont Park, Chalfont St. Peter, Gerrards Cross, England, SL9 0BG (“BookingMate”, “we”, “us”). Contact: [email protected].
2. Our role
BookingMate acts as a booking agent. When a booking is confirmed, your contract for the accommodation (or transfer, car hire or activity) is with the provider, and their own terms and house rules also apply. We are responsible for handling your booking correctly and for the information we publish.
3. Making a booking
A booking request is sent when you complete checkout. Your booking is only confirmed when we email you that the provider has confirmed it. If the provider cannot confirm, we will tell you, offer an alternative where possible, and refund anything you paid to us.
You must be at least 18 to book, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the guest details you give. Some providers have their own minimum ages.
4. Prices and what is included
Prices are shown in US dollars, per room per night unless stated, and include the items listed for the room or rate. Local tourist taxes, park or conservation fees and optional extras may be payable locally where stated. Approximate prices in other currencies are for information only.
5. Promotions
Promotions apply as described on the site, to bookings made within the stated period, and cannot be combined with other room discounts unless stated.
6. Payment
You can pay by bank transfer to Booking Central Ltd, with wallet balance, or at the property, as offered at checkout. If you choose to pay at the property, the provider’s payment terms apply. If a bank transfer is not received by the date we give you, we may cancel the booking.
7. Changes and cancellations
Our cancellation policy and the provider’s cancellation terms apply. Requests must be made through your account or by email.
8. Wallet
Wallet credit is a balance held with us for future bookings. It has no cash value except where a refund is due by law or under these terms, and it cannot be transferred.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking concerned. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of providers, or for events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Complaints
Please tell the provider about any problem during your stay so they can fix it, and contact us at [email protected]. We aim to reply within 14 days.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and consumers keep any mandatory protections of the country they live in.
