Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa sits on Kendwa’s tideless white-sand beach in the north-west of the island, where the sea stays swimmable all day and the sunsets are among Zanzibar’s best. Although the grounds are large, there are just 72 rooms, so there is plenty of space and privacy.
The architecture blends African and Arab influences with contemporary design. Rooms start at 70 m² Deluxe rooms facing the garden or the ocean, rising to 90 m² suites, three themed Luxury Beach Villas right on the sand and the newer Jungle Villas hidden in the tropical garden.
There is a wide pool, a beach restaurant with an award-winning à la carte menu, live-cooking and light-meal options served on the beach, and a spa with qualified therapists and personal trainers. A Gourmet all-inclusive plan adds premium spirits, wines by the glass and à la carte lunches and dinners. Day trips to Stone Town and other island excursions can be arranged.
