Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa is a five-star beachfront resort on Kiwengwa’s long white beach on Zanzibar’s east coast. It is set in 30 acres of tropical gardens with more than a thousand palm trees, and shares 582 metres of coastline with its sister property, Sultan Sands.
Rooms are bright and spacious, furnished in Zanzibari style with hand-carved pieces. Deluxe rooms look over the gardens to the sea; split-level Suites sit just 30 metres from the water with a veranda, private plunge pool and garden with outdoor shower; and two beachfront Sultan Suites offer the most space and privacy.
Dining ranges from buffets with live entertainment at the Makuti restaurant to Italian at the Trattoria, Asian dishes at The Wok and fresh seafood lunches at the Bahari beach grill, plus the Palms pool bar. Guests can unwind at the Oasis Spa, use the gym, go diving or try water sports, and free Wi-Fi covers the whole resort. At low tide you can walk out towards the reef.
