About this property
Langi Langi Beach Bungalows takes its name from the fragrant ylang-ylang flower and was founded more than 20 years ago by a Zanzibari entrepreneur who wanted guests to feel the island’s local character. It sits right on the beach in Nungwi, at the northern tip of Zanzibar.
Sea-view rooms and suites look straight out over the Indian Ocean, while the standard garden-view rooms are built in traditional style with makuti thatched roofs and Zanzibari beds, opening onto verandas over a leafy garden where dik-dik antelopes wander. A pool sits in the courtyard behind reception.
The restaurant stands on stilts above the sand and is well known in Nungwi for fresh seafood and traditional Zanzibari dinners, with sunset views over passing dhows. The hotel can arrange airport transfers, snorkelling, diving, fishing, kitesurfing, sunset cruises and island tours.
